Sammah-Sam here with a quick update! I Have been busy with life outside of Internet (School, finals, family, and prepping for the Christmas festivities.) I hate to say it, but I have been really slacking on the art front and here in the internet. I have been busy, and I apologize for being a crap founder/admin.
So, Polymer Clay folder is full because that apparently can happen if you're not a super group (I had no idea about that!). That being said, Polymer Clay 2 folder is open for submissions, but Polymer Clay (first gen) is no longer open for submissions. However, you can still find all the contents for browsing in the mentioned folder.
ALSO: Due to spamming, there are only 2 deviantions allowed for submission per folder, per week. I know we are popular, and have a ton of members, but we really don't need 4 views of the same sculpture posted in the same folder. For that, you can create a collage of multiple views, or link to other photos in your artist comments portion. I got some mail saying that's not enough; I also had real life friends who are in the group tell me through the day that their inbox was overrun with the same stuff, from multiple-views of the same piece submitted to two or three clubs that they are part of... So, to reduce this, limits are in effect.
For information regarding how to make thumbnail-links to other deviations, hyperlinks, ect, Check out the dA FAQ #81, link here :
FAQ #81: How can I create links to other deviants, deviations, or websites?
The point of this club is a gallery of art curated by the artist who submits their own work: You get to post two of your most striking pieces a week for us to have a direct link to. For your Etsy store or your other views, you can link in your artist comments.
There are many clay areas, so feel free to branch out and explore new things if you are able! Broaden your horizons and put your best pieces forward.. that is the best way to showcase your talent.
Artistic talent is much like a gem; with many different avenues to travel, it can be brilliantly faceted to a dizzying degree, or become whatever you choose to polish it into.
I hope everyone has the chance to show off their best Christmas and Holiday art!
Merry Christmas, folks!
